SUBMARINE ON THE EDGE OF FOREVER
(A Parody in Four Acts--Give or Take an Act)
Alison Passarelli and Rachel Howe
Despite the irreverent nature of what is to follow, we intend no disrespect. This parody was written with tongue firmly planted in cheek, but it was also written with love. Indeed, it was inspired by the casts and crews (both real and fictional) of two wonderful shows, "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" and "Star Trek".
And so, with heartfelt gratitude, deep affection, and a wink and a nod, we would like to dedicate this manuscript to Irwin Allen, Paul Zastupnevich, Richard Basehart, David Hedison, Bob Dowdell, Terry Becker, Del Monroe, Paul Trinka, Allan Hunt, Richard Bull, Arch Whiting, Alfred Ryder, Henry Jones, Gene Roddenberry, William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForrest Kelley, James Doohan, George Takei, Walter Koenig, Nichelle Nichols, Bruce Hyde, and the countless others whose talents and imagination enabled us baby-boomers to boldly voyage where no baby-boomers had voyaged before!
